1. Adding water to the pot: Place the sterilization pot into the lower vessel, lock the door and wait for the alarm to sound, then press the green “Sterilization” button. The system will automatically check whether the pressure in the upper water tank has reached the preset level; this is referred to as the “upper tank’s make-up valve.”
2. Temperature rise in the double‑layer water‑bath sterilization pot: With the communication valve, circulating inlet valve, circulating outlet valve, circulation pump, and steam valve all open, the pressure inside the pot automatically maintains the set pressure; once the set sterilization temperature is reached, the system enters the holding phase.
3. Temperature‑controlled sterilization: Sterilization begins once the set sterilization temperature is reached; during this phase, temperature and pressure are carefully maintained, and upon completion of the prescribed holding time, a hot‑water recovery step is carried out.

4. Hot-water recovery procedure: Open the connecting valve, the hot-water recovery valve, the circulating outlet valve, and the circulation pump; pressure in the boiler is automatically regulated. When the water level in the boiler reaches the low‑level threshold or the upper water tank reaches the high‑level threshold, the transfer to the next operation step is completed.
5. Cooling and Water Filling: First, open the feedwater pump, the connecting valve, and the water‑supply bypass valve. Once the boiler temperature drops to the set opening temperature of the main water‑supply valve, the main valve opens, accelerating the water‑filling process. During this phase, pressure is self‑regulated, and when the water level reaches the lower limit, the system transitions to the next operating cycle.
6. Circulating Cooling: The circulation pump starts, the circulating outlet valve and the circulating inlet valve open, with pressure automatically regulated. The system then initiates the cooling cycle; once the preset cooling duration is reached, it proceeds to the next operational step.
7. Drainage in the boiler: Open the drain valve and the circulation pump, use the pump to discharge the cooled circulating water, and continue draining until the preset low-water level is reached, then proceed to the venting step.
8. Venting: Open the vent valve to release any residual air from the pot until the pressure inside the pot reaches zero.
9. End of operation: Reset the system, sound an audible alarm, and notify the operator that product sterilization has been completed.
The double‑layer water‑bath sterilizer features short sterilization times and rapid temperature rise. By circulating hot water between two tanks, it can heat the hot‑water tank to the required sterilization temperature before transferring the product to the sterilization chamber, thereby reducing the time needed to bring the medium up to temperature.
